Department profile of Zoology:

Established in 1999, the Department of Zoology offers the undergraduate course Bi.Z.C. (Biochemistry, Zoology, and Chemistry). The department is well-equipped with an extensive collection of specimens, spotters, and microscopic slides. It houses preserved specimens of various animals such as Pila, Prawn, Shark, as well as skeletal displays of a Rabbit and Pigeon, providing students with valuable hands-on learning resources.

The department aims to provide comprehensive insights into animal diversity, broadening students’ understanding of zoology’s various branches, including applied zoology and its real-world significance.
