Our college has established Women Empowerment Cell Committee in 2020. Associate. Professor Y.V.M.L. Nagarani was the first coordinator of the cell from the session 2020 till date. Women Empowerment Cell Committee arranges various programmes such as guest lectures, workshops and seminars for girl students to develop self-confidence, awareness of equal rights and opportunities in all spheres of life. Empowerment of women particularly in rural areas has become an important issue. Therefore, Women Empowerment Cell Committee makes significant effects regarding counselling and support services through education in a safe campus environment .

Aims and Objectives

              1. To develop self confidence and enjoy human rights in society .

              2. To prevent sexual harassment in college campus .

              3. To promote general wellbeing of female students .

              4. To develop the importance of spiritual, economics, social, racial and gender equality .

              5. To highlight the importance of health and hygiene .

              6. To undertake the awareness programme on gender sensitization, women right and women empowerment .

            7. To organise seminar, workshop and guest lecture for girls students so that they can make the decision by their own choice .
