Department profile of Political Science:

Established in 2003, the Department of Political Science currently offers 60 seats for its honours course. The department follows the syllabus prescribed by Sri Krishnadevaraya University (SKU), delivering comprehensive academic instruction through engaging lectures and ample study materials. This commitment to quality education has enabled the department to consistently achieve strong academic results.

Students are encouraged to pursue higher education and prepare for various national and state-level competitive examinations, including UPSC, RRB, SSC, APPSC, DSC, and others, enhancing their career prospects.

To broaden students’ understanding of contemporary socio-political issues, the department organizes diverse learning activities such as interactive lectures, political map analyses, current affairs discussions, PowerPoint presentations, and educational tours.
